Dear Guests of the St. Stanislaus Church Website,
When
a group of people works and sacrifices together, laughs, cries,
and prays together during their lifetime, they create a community
with a common history and rich heritage that becomes an essential
element of their identity.
St Stanislaus Kostka
Church of Rochester is a worshipping community with a history
of over 120 years. A central focus of our Church community
is to serve God and people through His Word and Sacraments
and led by the Spirit. Our Parish is a place that over many
years ministers to its brothers and sisters, affirming and
promoting the life and growth of its children, young adults,
the elderly, the poor, and the sick. We are striving to live
our faith and united by faith we bring God’s message
alive. Through words and deeds we reach out and support each
other and our community by giving of our time, talent, and
treasure.
The community of
St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish is deeply and firmly rooted in
the past, living in the
present, and building for the future. As an ethnic community
its roots reach to Poland, where religion was a stronghold
of a national identity, and the relationship between faith
and fatherland is our heritage. With our roots come our traditions
and values, which our ancestors brought
back with them from Poland and other parts of Europe to America.
They lived with a deep faith in God and love of God, and a
deep conviction and loyalty to national and religious traditions.
This gift, which our ancestors gave us, we are striving to
treasure and keep alive for the future generations to come.
May we bless those who seek our church, so we can experience
further growth and prosperity in the future.
It is a great honor
and privilege that the Holy Spirit brought me to St. Stanislaus
Kostka Parish, that I may serve God and this community as
a spiritual leader and pastor.
Father Adam Ogorzaly
